Tara Tinnin purchased Serenity Park in late 2018. Ms. Tinnin had a friend whose mother had passed away from addiction. Unfortunately, the family had struggled to find help because her insurance would not allow her to leave the state for treatment. At the time, there were very few places providing quality care. Ms. Tinnin was already planning to move back to Little Rock and open a sober living home for women, as she had such an amazing experience in sober living after treatment herself. She found Serenity Park, toured the property, and was taken aback by the atmosphere and legacy of the place. After speaking with several friends and mentors, Ms. Tinnin felt compelled to take on this endeavor, and to honor Joe McQuany’s legacy. Serenity Park Recovery Center opened its doors as a fully functioning 30-day residential treatment center with medication assisted detox in June of 2019.
In 2024, a new era began as Serenity Park was purchased by Pathways Recovery Centers. Joining Holland Pathways in Wichita, Sunflower Recovery Center near Kansas City, and Country Road Recovery Center near Oklahoma City, Serenity Park is the latest step in the Pathways mission of bringing best-in-class care to communities throughout the Midwest. With plans for renovation and expansion, the legacy continues!
